Why is it impossible to find a way or page to cancel my account immediately?

Contact support via support ticket and ask for a removal.

I think the reasons there is no simple page is that there are account balances (like the referral balance) and remaining days of subscription to take care of, and there is no automated way to handle them yet.

Actually, everyone should be fine with 24 hours, given all that's going on. It's not like anyone signed a Service Level Agreement with guaranteed response times here. It's also not in the ToS. I find it quite insolent when people expect shit to be done the moment they need it, especially on (these) forums.

Even if that's true, remember the most important lesson from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: DON'T PANIC. We're humans, we can work it out! Just.. don't treat people around you like slaves just because your situation in life worsened. Not fair towards everyone else.
