Airvpn.org onion address?

Recommended Posts

Hi

Does airvpn.org have an .onion address? I'd rather interface with AirVPN over Tor which is much safer.

Please advise.

Thank

Sorry to ask again about this so soon, but could we get a V3 address?  I know the problems with service discoverability in V2 aren't a liability here, but the better crypto of V3 means SSL could be skipped entirely (i.e., no more security exceptions).

Hello!

Yes. As usual you can find all the information by clicking "Home" > "Specs" from our web site upper menu, direct link https://airvpn.org/specs/

Jump to "Web servers" at the bottom.

Kind regards

Please can you advertise this in a more obvious location? I think many would appreciate that.

I sense you have an idea about that location..? :)

Four simple things:
There's a guide to AirVPN. Before you ask questions, take 30 minutes of your time to go through it.

Amazon IPs are not dangerous here. It's the fallback DNS.
Running TOR exits is discouraged. They're subject to restrictions on the internet and harm all AirVPN users.

Furthermore, I propose that your paranoia is to be destroyed. If you overdo privacy, you'll be unique among the mass again.

The header of every page, perhaps a giant red banner "please use the .onion for safety reasons".

As much I'd love for more people to use Tor for their daily browsing, accessing the onion service will frustrate many users — among other things, external links will (deliberately) not take you away from the AirVPN website, and conventional payments will almost certainly be declined by payment processors.  It's not a good default for many users.

At least advertise it in a more prominent location. Those who have technical skills wouldn't even know to look in such a hidden location to find a proper address.

People using Tor are likely to want to pay via BTC and leave as little traces as possible anyway.
