Eddie doesn't start on Ubuntu

After powering off my Ubuntu VM machine and restarting, Eddie doesn't start so my other software has no anonymity. I've got everything on the General setting tab checked. When I start Eddie, I have to enter my system password which may be a problem in itself but I don't think that's problem at startup or it would be sitting and waiting for a password.

Any ideas?

No, we need logs first. In the Logs tab, click the lifebelt icon and paste it here in LOG formatting (top left icon in the post editor).
