Windows not working when eddie is active

After my windows 10 update windows is not reacting after I start Eddie. 

Just starting the program blocks every action: I can not start other programs...
When I close Eddie everything works again...

Any tips?

does uninstalling eddie and the tap adapter change anything?

which windows update?   feature or just patches?

What kind of updates is it? Windows 10 Update mean anything, that why we need to know what kind of updates it is. If you need to know what is your recent update. Go to Start then click Setting (gear-looking icon). Then go to Update & Security. On Windows Update section, click View update history. Expand those tab and find the one that is very recent. Tell us the name of that recent update.
