Eddie-Ui on Raspberry Pi tries to bind to old IP

Recommended Posts

Hi,
I had to switch the IP of my raspi to 192.168.2.153 from 192.168.2.4. Since then I can't use eddie-ui anymore. It is stuck in a connection-loop with the error.

OpenVPN > TCP/UDP: Socket bind failed on local address [AF_INET]192.168.2.4:1194: Cannot assign requested address
ifconfig and errormessage are attached

Well, obviously OpenVPN is statically bound to .2.4.
Try moving the Eddie config file out of ~/.airvpn/ somewhere else (for backup) and try again.

that did not help. Fixed it by giving its old IP back (by using another DHCP that is able to bind to IPs outside of its range...)

That's hardly a solution rather than a workaround.

Can you post the OpenVPN config you are using?

I'm not using any custom config but mssfix in eddie-ui. I start the gui and press connect to recommended.

I can try actually fixing the problem this weekend
