No internet connection when network lock is disabled.

Recommended Posts

I'm in a situation where I need to uninstall Eddie.
When I disable network lock and uninstalled the Linux 64bit debian app, I could not connect to the internet anymore.
I tried to set accept all policy to all connections in iptables with:

iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P FORWARD ACCEPT
and delete all existing rules with:
iptables -F INPUT
iptables -F OUTPUT
iptables -F FORWARD
That didn't help.

So I installed Eddie again, and with network lock enabled I can connect to the internet via Eddie.
When disconnected and network lock disabled, I can not get access to the internet.

I have tried to Preferences -> Reset to default settings.
That does not work either...

How do I regain access to my normal ISP internet without Eddie installed?

In advance, thank you for your help.

Seems to be a bug in Eddie.

Try sudo iptables -F.

This should work.

Thanks for your reply, but as described I've already tried this.
I just tried yet again before this reply, and it doesn't help, unfortunately.
That's why I'm lost and frustrated. :)

I can confirm it is a bug of the Linux client and frequently reported, though flushing iptables rules does resolve the situation for all so far. Does a reboot help you instead?
This bug will not be resolved in v2.x. A v3 client is currently in development and more info should come shortly. Staff mentioned it once but I don't seem to find that post again at the moment. Stay tuned to the Announcements forum.

I suggest to not use Network Lock on Linux for now.
