Eddie-UI Not Starting Minimised

I am starting eddie with sudo in terminal and it doesn't start minimised, although it has be set in settings and the icon is in the tray.
I am using Ubuntu 18.4 with i3 4.16.1 and Eddie-ui 2.17.2.

Thanks for your response, also where is this being worked on/ talked about.

Eddie v2 is no longer actively developed, I think. All eyes are on an eventual v3 release without an ETA so far which will fix a good amount of issues, also because the Mono framework will no longer be used.
