This has been the case when trying to connect to three different servers. Would have tried more but for the "you are already connected" message I have to wait out for several minutes between attempts.... Hello! "Failed to start" and "Already connected" show two different conditions. Can you please send us the logs? Kind regards Hello. What I mean is after I log in and try to connect to a server and it tells me that it "failed to start" it then sends me back to the login screen - so I have to login again. But then when I try to login again I get the already connected message for several minutes, Then the same thing with the failed to start again. I've also tried logging in using the scripts with Viscosity, trying all ports, and get a disconnect with every one. Okay, I looked for log files and can't find any. Do I have to turn on "statistics" in the member area to generate them...? I'll give it a go. Quote Share this post Link to post
imno007 0 Posted ... Okay, I take it back, Viscosity works, it was just the first time I tried it and I wasn't used to the interface. So... I can connect using the scripts. It's just your client software that's the issue. Still have the same problem if I try to login using it. I'm happy to keep using Viscosity, though, to be honest, if it will work better with the reconnects. I got disconnected earlier using the client software and had no idea, and unfortunately I was downloading a couple of "hot" torrents, so just have to keep my fingers crossed now that I don't get any notices. Maybe you can tell me where I can find the log files for future reference, because there's only the AirVPN.exe in the install folder, and I found an xml file under the user accounts but no logs. Thanks. Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 9973 Posted ... Hello! In order to display and copy the logs in the Air client, please right-click on its dock icon and select "Logs". A window will open showing the logs. Click on "Copy to clipboard" then paste in the message. Since you have no problems with Viscosity, perhaps the "Failed to start" error is caused by a corrupt configuration file, in which case you can safely delete it after you close the client (you can find the path and the name of the .xml configuration file in the logs). The Air client will re-create the configuration at the next run. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
imno007 0 Posted ... Thanks! I should have thought to look there, but it seems only recently I've noticed more programs putting there options there on right-click instead of somewhere in the main interface, so it hasn't become second-nature yet for me to look there. The problem actually turned out to be a missing TAP adaptor. I'm not sure how I managed to delete it but apparently I did at some point. I'll try conencting again as soon as I stop getting the already connected message, but I should be fine now. If you don't hear from me again, assume all is well. Thanks again. imno007 0 Posted ... Heh, sorry, I was actually just trying to mark the topic solved, but ended up quoting the first post. I'm using Firefox and your buttons down there on the lower right of the message box often don't show up for me. Probably a flash or java thing, I'll get around to troubleshooting it soon. So you can delete that last post if you want and mark this solved. Thanks again. Quote Share this post Link to post

FPyro 2 Posted ... Good, then this button not visible thing is not only for me. You can still see the buttons when highlighting them though Quote Share this post Link to post
