tethering problem

i have just cancelled my home broadband internet and started to tether my android phone to pc for internet.

unfortunately i cant get air vpn to connect when tethering.

it keeps trying to connect to server then gives a bootstrap failed pop up.

do i need to alter settings in eddie?

it always ran fine when using broadband.

i have installed eddie on my phone and it masks my ip address when using the phone to browse. unfortunately when i tether to my pc it is still showing my ip address.
pc is running windows 7.
is any one able to help?

Tethered devices will not be routed through a VPN connection which got established using Android's VPNService API (which pretty much every VPN app on the store is using). You need root privileges to force its cooperation.

Oh, right. Then I misunderstood you. You don't connect with Android, you do with your PC. Then things get more complicated. Can you try a connection with vanilla OpenVPN?
