Network Lock active even after exit from eddie ?

Recommended Posts

Posted ... (edited)

[solydX (Debian Stretch-based), eddie 2.16.3]

Whenever I try to work without eddie, or with eddie on, but whan I click to disable the Network Lock, I can't access the internet. BUT : I can ping the internet.

My browser can't connect any site. But if to try «ping airvpn.org», I get an answer :

PING airvpn.org (5.196.64.52) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from ns334629.ip-5-196-64.eu (5.196.64.52): icmp_seq=1 ttl=55 time=35.4 ms
64 bytes from ns334629.ip-5-196-64.eu (5.196.64.52): icmp_seq=2 ttl=55 time=35.0 ms
64 bytes from ns334629.ip-5-196-64.eu (5.196.64.52): icmp_seq=3 ttl=55 time=35.1 ms

So this does seem to have anything with DNS : I get the IP address from airvpn.org

Can anyone explain ?

Hello!

Please check your iptables rules. Network Lock blocks TCP and UDP, and may or may not (according to Eddie settings) block ICMP. So, if Network Lock remained "on" even after you shut Eddie down, you might find ICMP unblocked, while TCP and UDP remain blocked.

From a root terminal, while Eddie is NOT running:

iptables -F

should resolve the issue.

Feel free to keep us posted.

Kind regards
