Making Air VPN disconnect from internet when offli

Would it be possible to make air vpn disconnect from the internet completely when it detects an interruption in the vpn connection? As of now, I can't really leave the computer running while I'm not there because the vpn might disconnect with the internet still going, which would leave me vulnerable. Comodo doesn't work for me. I have tried. As of now, I can only make very limited use of the vpn since it doesn't have an option to stop the internet when it disconnects. Many other VPN's have this kind of feature, why not air? Would it be difficult to implement?
