allanmills 0 Posted ... Hello . . . first of all, I have used AirVPN for several years and have always been very happy with the service and performance. Also, the Eddie client is amazing to me and makes using a VPN service very simple for someone like me who isn't totally network-proficient. I recently switched from Ubuntu Linux to Antergos (an Arch-based distro) and have noticed that a message I have never seen before pops up when Eddie first starts, as it says in the topic, "SSL Not Available". Eddie starts fine and connects with no problem and I have no real issues of which I'm aware. When I check my installed applications, it appears that I have OpenSSL 1.1.1.a-1 installed along with several libraries one would expect. I'm more curious than anything else why that message comes up. I'm pasting what appears to be the relevant part of the log below (and if I'm supposed to attach it in a file or use some kind of quoting code, I do apologize. I looked for posting guidelines but didn't see anything specific about that. Thanks for any insights on this. Here's the portion of the log that references what I'm talking about: . 2019.01.26 18:25:22 - Eddie version: 2.17.2 / linux_x64, System: Linux, Name: Antergos Linux \r (\l), Version: Linux Area51-Alien 4.20.3-arch1-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 16 22:38:58 UTC 2019 x86_64 GNU/Linux, Mono/.Net: 5.16.0 (makepkg/bb3ae37d71a Sat Dec 8 13:21:35 CET 2018); Framework: v4.0.30319 . 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - OpenVPN Driver - Found, /dev/net/tun. 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - OpenVPN - Version: 2.4.6 - OpenSSL 1.1.1a 20 Nov 2018, LZO 2.10 (/usr/sbin/openvpn). 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - SSH - Version: OpenSSH_7.9p1, OpenSSL 1.1.1a 20 Nov 2018 (/usr/sbin/ssh)W 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - SSL - Not available. 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - curl - Version: 7.63.0 (/usr/sbin/curl). 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - Certification Authorities: /usr/share/eddie-ui/cacert.pem! 2019.01.26 18:25:24 - Activation of Network Lock - Linux iptablesI 2019.01.26 18:25:29 - ReadyI 2019.01.26 18:25:29 - Session starting.. 2019.01.26 18:25:30 - Collect information about providers .... 2019.01.26 18:25:31 - Collect information about AirVPN completedI 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - Checking authorization ...! 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - Connecting to Hercules (United States of America, Atlanta, Georgia). 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > OpenVPN 2.4.6 x86_64-pc-linux-gnu [sSL (OpenSSL)] [LZO] [LZ4] [EPOLL] [PKCS11] [MH/PKTINFO] [AEAD] built on Apr 24 2018. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > library versions: OpenSSL 1.1.1a 20 Nov 2018, LZO 2.10. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - Connection to OpenVPN Management Interface. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > MANAGEMENT: TCP Socket listening on [AF_INET]127.0.0.1:3100. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > Outgoing Control Channel Encryption: Cipher 'AES-256-CTR' initialized with 256 bit key. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > Outgoing Control Channel Encryption: Using 256 bit message hash 'SHA256' for HMAC authentication. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > Incoming Control Channel Encryption: Cipher 'AES-256-CTR' initialized with 256 bit key. 2019.01.26 18:25:35 - OpenVPN > Incoming Control Channel Encryption: Using 256 bit message hash 'SHA256' for HMAC authentication Quote Share this post Link to post
