Wolke probably meant that Amazon Prime in Germany was working with a few German servers  (Ogma, Mesarthim, ...) but wasn't with others (Serpens, Adhara, ...)

It does work, though at the moment it only seems to work with the Server - Musca (US).

 

Edit1: I have checked a few others, but I have not checked all of them, maybe one of you would have a better luck finding the 2nd server.

On which devices did you test?

 

Today I have tried with Nvidia Shield and Fire TV to no avail.

 

A message appeared saying that "This title is not available in your current location"

 

Using Ursa and Musca US servers

Why doesn't Prime work here? Does OpenVPN need to be running on my FireStick or have they just flagged Air completely? Knowing this could allow me a few hairs to remain on my head.

 

I know it works, just not on my pfsense setup through VPN. It's the only consistent failure on my network, yet, really isn't, so to speak.

It works on my tomato setup. You must make sure that the VPN DNS is the only one being used. In the case of Amazon devices and Google devices, you must force the use of your internal DNS forwarder as Google devices have been observed by myself to try to use Google DNS without your authorization and Amazon devices have been observed to use OpenDNS without authorization.
