ANSWERED Debian Unstable network lock fail: /sbin/iptables-save: unrecognized option '--wait'

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Using Debian Unstable with regular upgrade/dist-upgrade.

Eddie 2.13.6 has been working fine, until a few days ago, when it started popping this error on activating network lock (probably related to some upgrade/dist-upgrade, don't know):

/sbin/iptables-save: unrecognized option '--wait'

Look at manual page 'iptables-save.8' for more information.

After that network lock is not active.

Same problem with 2.14 experimental.

Please advise!

UPDATE

downgrading iptables from  1.6.2-1 to 1.6.1-2+b1 and the rest of the dependencies upgraded on 3rd Feb gets it working ok again.

other dependencies downgraded :

Setting up libip4tc0:amd64 (1.6.1-2+b1) ...

Setting up libip6tc0:amd64 (1.6.1-2+b1) ...

Setting up libiptc0:amd64 (1.6.1-2+b1) ...

Setting up libxtables12:amd64 (1.6.1-2+b1) ...

Hello!

Since you used the latest experimental, it would be beneficial if you reported it in the experimentals own thread and perhaps it'll be fixed in the next iteration .
