Veep Peep 13 Posted ... Well, I have siged up for another year! <accepting congratulations>....And I am paranoid. It seems to me the servers I usually connect to are about double the latency they used to be. These are Toronto and Vancouver servers....Why would my latency change?Of course my wireless (laptop) is much worse, but also much worse than beforeI noticed this around November of 2017Thoughts? Suggestions?Am I am being Kim Dotcom'd?No, I don't do a lot of unusual ...mostly gaming, watching videos...gone from 25ms to 70ms on average...Thanks,Mr. V Quote Share this post Link to post
go558a83nk 364 Posted ... most likely just a change to the route to the servers. your ISP may have a link down, or maybe the usual peer/transit provider does. nothing to be paranoid about. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Posted ... Restart router (no joke), first thing anyone should do if there are speed problems.Use hard line connection if possible, so wifi problem can be eliminated.Still having problems? It's probably on ISP's end. Try changing servers to other countries even if latency is a little higher than what you're used to. Quote Share this post Link to post
Veep Peep 13 Posted ... Hey!Thanks for responding.. Today, my wireless laptop has a lower latency than my hard wired desktop. They both use the same router. Same ISPThe server Gemma (used on desktop today) is showing a latency of 74 ms but the laptop is showing Gemma as 59ms (but using Dheneb) Now can we conclude 'they are watching me" or is there something on my desktop that could be slowing things down? Btw, it is not killing me - just curious... Thanks, Mr. V Quote Share this post Link to post
