Dosenfleisch 4 Posted ... A complete re-install of Ubuntu this morning, adding network manager openvpn gnome, produced no VPN connections using imported AirVPN config files. I had had previous problems with ipleak.net showing me my ISP address, so I followed a fix installing openresolv, nscd and unbound which worked famously for AirVPN as well as another provider's config files until recently, when AirVPN would no longer function, (systematically failing on two linux machines in this house). So, I applied the same fix after my re-install this morning. (incidentally, I also followed AirVPNs solution to amend a file with dns=none, before applying any other fixes, to no affect). The AirVPN connection is made, but the browser will not produce a connection to any site. Contrasting to that, if I connect to another service provider's VPN on the Linux box, it works fine. I have also attempted several times to connect to AirVPN's service on a Win7 machine. It worked briefly one time, then it would not work again. It hangs on WAIT for several minutes, tries to reconnect, then hangs again on WAIT. It appears that I have three separate machines that AirVPN, whose service has worked famously until just recently, is not working for me no matter what I do, even after downloading new config files. Yet, another provider's service functions fully. Quote Share this post Link to post
greerd 5 Posted ... Did you get a new router? Perhaps it's using 10.xx.xx.xx for dhcp? Quote Share this post Link to post
Dosenfleisch 4 Posted ... No, as far as the router is concerned, it is the same one I have had for three years now. I checked it thoroughly this morning and found nothing obvious. It seems to be working just fine. Quote Share this post Link to post
