ANSWERED No graphical client anymore after upgrading Ubuntu 16:10 to 17.10

I have AirVPN 2.13.6 installed.

Just upgraded from Ubuntu 16.10 to 17.10.

Now when I start AirVPN I get the login dialog, click OK, the dialog window disappears, and then... nothing happens.

When I start it from the commandline with "sudo airvpn -cli" the VPN seems to work fine, but I miss the graphical UI.

I have no clue how to investigate further.

Start AirVPN from command line without -cli, it should output more info when it crashes, or whatever it does.

After reading some issues that came up when searching for the MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE message makes me think this is due to Ubuntu 17.10's switch to Gnome & Wayland.

I logged out, logged in and selected Unity in the user login dialog, started AirVPN et voila, the graphical client showed up without problem.

Dunno if this is something to be fixed in AirVPN or Ubuntu/Wayland/Gnome.
