marcmv1 1 Posted ... Hi, This is going to sound weird but... while I'm tunneled, how do I re-enable IPv6 on my android? After fighting with this for a long time, I've discovered that in order for WiFi calling to work on T-Mobile, IPv6 has to be enabled on the phone. IPv6 doesn't have to be available, so I can disable it on my router to prevent IP leaks, but I do need this enabled on the phone itself. When I connect I see this line: did_ifconfig_ipv6_setup=0 which is disabling IPv6 How do I override and set it back to 1? I'm on a rooted Nexus 6P so getting access won't be an issue although I'd prefer to set it directly in the OpenVPN config. Thanks! Quote Share this post Link to post

If not, did_ifconfig_ipv6_setup=0. If you happen to use Schwabe's OpenVPN for Android, try this: Go to the profile you use to connect to AirVPN > Routing > IPv6: Enable Use default route. I tried both checked and unchecked but ipv6 test fails either way while connected to the VPN Quote Share this post Link to post

I am looking to enable ipv6 on my Android as I stated when I started this thread. I'm not asking when AirVPN will support ipv6. From what I can see TMO wifi calling requires it be enabled. It doesn't have to be routed and I don't need an ipv6 IP just ipv6 enabled. I know this because I have ipv6 disabled on my router and wifi calling works. However as soon as I disable ipv6 on my phone at the os level wifi calling is disabled Quote Share this post Link to post
jup 0 Posted ... Any news on IPv6 on Andoid? I just realized, on my Google Pixel, ipleak shows proper Airvpn exit address (IPv4) when I am connected via my regular WiFi, but the moment I am on LTE, which apparently forces IPv6 on, my phone's IPv6 address is displayed. I have no intention of rooting my phone so I have no way to disable IPv6 and I don't think there's much I can do about it. But this means that I can't use VPN on the phone properly. For comparison, Mullvad VPN does show IPv6 address of their exit point on ipleak (at least I assume it's that, it's certainly not my phone's IP) - so it can be done. Quote Share this post Link to post
