Linux Mint successfully connects to the VPN server but cant access any websites 100% packet loss

Linux Mint says that  VPN connection has been successfully established but I cant access any websites and pinging websites shows 100% packet loss.

I can only guess that you used Network Manager to connect, but to be sure, please post you full OpenVPN logs into spoiler tags (how-to in signature).

While you're at it, you could try a ping to 8.8.8.8.

Not much info to go by. I'd start by disabling any firewalls (iptables, firewalld) to make sure nothing is getting in your way.

 

make sure you can resolve DNS from the servers listed in /etc/resolv.conf

 

ifconfig to see how your nics, especially tun0 are configured

 

netstat -nr to see your routes
