openVPN Router policy rules - Android smart phone

Hello,

 

I have installed openVPN Client on an Asus router and configured Policy rules to direct internet traffic thru the VPN however Android S7 edge is bypassing the vpn and going to the WAN. I manually configured the Android to use airVPN DNS, 10.4.0.1 but has not helped.

 

Anyone care to comment on what can be done to resolve this?

I assume you're using Merlin firmware if you have policy routing.

 

First thing is to try just rebooting if your sure your policy rules are good.

 

If that doesn't work try turning off hardware acceleration (CTF + FA).  That did the trick for me when I used Asus in the past.
