Hello

I downloaded the debain 32bit linux client and installated it succesfully. However I cannot connect to any servers. I assume because of some firewall issues in the whonix gateway, but I'm new to linux, watch some youtube videos here and there but mostly teaching myself. Anyways, it will try to connect, fail, reauthorize, try again, repeat.

I read the log the best I could but can't put my finger on it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

That's your line. Try other servers, ports and protocols and report if something is working.

UDP won't work in Whonix, because it is routed via Tor which only supports TCP by design.

Change to TCP and it should work.

The Eddie client or the built-in openvpn with Network Manager will both work, the only mandatory setting is to choose TCP in the protocol.

Make sure first that your workstation and gateway work properly, i.e. that all traffic from the workstation goes via the gateway and your internet

connection and applications such as the browser are working. Then you will be able to connect with TCP.
