DD-WRT not connecting to AirVPN

hello everyone,

i set up my dd-wrt device as described in the airvpn tutorial. i have double checked every setting and consulted the dd-wrt wiki, but i can not find the error or mistake i have made.

connecting with the airvpn client on windows works without problems.

Hello!

The problem is outlined in the quoted log line. That IP address is not an entry-IP address of any Air server. You have to connect to the entry-IP address of any server you choose. Our configuration generator will generate all the files you need according to your preferences.

I'm having issues connecting with my Router. What router do you have? Did you need to Port Forward the port you picked?

Do you see anything in the Status page in ddwrt for the OpenVPN as mine all show blank. I took the IP from the file you mentioned. How do you see the log file as I'm not very familiar with ddwrt or Linux

I have:

Netgear WNDR3700

Firmware Version DD-WRT v24-sp2 (03/19/12) std - build 18777

after you entered all your stuff in services -> vpn be sure to press save and apply settings, then wait a while and it will eventually show up in status -> openvpn. i dont know anything about linux either, just copied the text from the log and thankfully the admins knew the answer.

maybe you need to reboot your router and be sure to enter everything mentioned in the tutorial

Rebooted a few times but no joy. Copied the certs into the 3 boxes and set the firewall rules. How do you see the log you posted? Was it in the OpenVPN status section?

Yes your link opens that page but all 3 sections are totally blank as if OpenVPN not even attempting to start

Will have to await Admin for some guidance. Maybe I'm missing a setting in the router somewhere?

Do you mean in the router GUI in Sevices/VPN where I keyed all the settings in?

Yes then. Have PPTP & OpenVPN enabled. Any more suggestions?

Please disable PPTP, although we're afraid this might not solve the problem. We need to see the connection log to get an idea about what happens. If you can't access the logs through the web DD-WRT control panel, you can generate them with a script, see here:

You have to store the script in nvram. After that, just copy & paste the connection logs.
