Have you updated to the latest Eddie client?

 

You can try turn off IPv6 on all adapters, including TAP.

When I posted this, it was using an older version of the client (on Windows 8.1). I have since updated to the most recent version and the issue is still coming up. An added detail: it seems to work for at least the first session after restarting the computer.

Then you can go to the client settings and turn off "Check if tunnel works" in the Advanced settings. Turning off "Check AirVPN DNS" can also be required sometimes. Enable Network Lock.

 

You can also try to use different protocols. Select one and then reconnect to a server

So, this did keep it from timing out, but I end up with a connection sitting at 0 bit/s download speed. Any guesses for why?
