ANSWERED OSX keymap switches when connecting or disconnecting to vpn server

My system:

OSX 10.9.5

Mid 2009 Macbook Pro

(Not sure what else is relevant. Will provide any needed info if asked)

 

Background:

My Macbook has a danish keyboard. There are a few keys I find to be mapped inconveniently, so I used the application Ukulele -> http://scripts.sil.org/cms/scripts/page.php?item_id=ukelele to roll myself a new one.

It lives in 

 

~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/my_custom_keylayout.keylayout
 

and works just fine. Except:

 

Error:

Whenever I connect or disconnect to an AirVPN server using Eddie on my Macbook, The keyboard layout switches away from my custom layout and back to the default danish layout.

 

Desired behaviour:

Keep using my custom keyboard layout, even when I connect or disconnect to an AirVPN server

 

What can be done to remedy this?

For future reference:

 

The issue was resolved by updating to the latest version of Ukulele (3.2.2), then creating a new keymap based on my faulty custom keymap, and finally replacing 

~/Library/Keyboard Layouts/my_custom_keylayout.keylayout

with the new file.
