Staff 9972 Posted ... Hello! We're very glad to inform you that three new 1 Gbit/s servers located in the United States are available: Aquarius (Chicago, IL), Draco and Tonatiuh (Dallas, TX). EDIT: Tonatiuh has been withdrawn on 31-Mar-2017. Reason: inability of the datacenter to meet the agreed quality of service. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new servers, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access them through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator").The servers accept connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 2018 UDP and TCP.Just like every other Air server, these new servers support OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH.As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses. With Aquarius we have completed the replacement of all the servers in that location which, except for Alkaid and Pavonis, will be withdrawn in the near future.Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue.Kind regards and dataloveAirVPN Team 2 RidersoftheStorm and 333_half_evil reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

MVirgilStone59 15 Posted ... Sweet Home Chicago... I am in Central USA, so Dallas & Chicago servers have a very snappy ping time and little or no latency. go558a83nk 362 Posted ... Staff, the exit IP of the server Tonatiuh seems to struggle from a sordid past (it's on projecthoneypot's list) and incorrect geolocation. This has prevented me from using several web sites. What efforts have been made to correct those problems? Anything I can do to help? 1 jmm reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
go558a83nk 362 Posted ... has Tonatiuh been withdrawn? Yes. crap. I know it had more problems than usual but it was the only one with good routing for many of us. USA ISPs are horrible. Quote Share this post Link to post
go558a83nk 362 Posted ... Staff, if you're going to replace Tonatiuh with a new server, have you checked out the Houston area? I don't know if these guys meet your specs but, just for example, https://www.datafoundry.com/data-centers/houston-2/ Quote Share this post Link to post
_CyberGhosT_ 1 Posted ... St. Louis is another good server rich environment.Chicago and Dallas work wonders for me as well, but Chicago is good for Mid to Northern Mid USSt. Louis is an ideal location for Mid to Southern Mid US.I agree with @go558a83nk Houston is almost a "must have" for Southern to South Western access points.
