Create config to connect to ISP's VOIP port.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Ok my ISP is a local wireless provider. I happen to know the owner as our kids go to the same school.

During a conversation recently I found out that they do traffic shaping and capping.... No surprises there.

However traffic to there sites speed test and VOIP gets priority and no throttling at all.

From a little research it seems that VOIP uses port 5060, the speed test I've no clue.

So the obvious question is.... Can I force a connection to the VOIP port ?

As always thanks.

The Snaggletooth.
