OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Why is eddie so high on RAM usage, it's roughly consuming over 110MB+ and it goes up. Also disk writes and read is high too. I do notice a small slowdown when eddie is running with a connected to a server. Whenever i close airvpn program, i notice a small improvement to my PC. Let's ask this way: Does the slight performance loss impact your day-to-day activities enough to render them undoable? I checked on Debian Linux, it uses 15 MiB. Are you on Windows? ~Daniel~ 11 Posted ... I'm using Win10 with Eddie 2.11.15, am currently downloading 4 torrents (I use Titaxi), and Eddie is reporting 0-0.1% CPU with 27.2 MB RAM used... and my disk writes are fluctuating between 0-3% (only pulling data down at 5Mb/s right now). Resource usage is looking reasonably low on my rig. If you are a windows user, had you always used the official 2.10 version, or did you every try the experimental 2.11 builds? 2.11.15 is now the official version btw, no longer experimental.I never used the 2.10 version. I started with a 2.11 experimental and kept updating it until it went official (like days ago). Quote Share this post Link to post
Adzkii 11 Posted ... (edited) Please say you guys are not* serious? Take a look at the screenshot. My PC is only 3GB ram. Eddie takes 5% of it lol. Cheers! Edited ... by Adzkii Quote Share this post Link to post
zhang888 1066 Posted ... That depends on what memory you are talking about. There are many different ways to measure memory:Physical MemoryVirtual MemoryReserved Virtual Memory Reserved memory does not mean the process is actually using all that memory. To get more accurate measurements consider using VMMap and RAMmap from Microsoft:https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd535533.aspxhttps://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/ff700229.aspx 1 Adzkii reacted to this Quote Hide zhang888's signature Hide all signatures Occasional moderator, sometimes BOFH. VGio 0 Posted ... I have this issue too and yes it does cause my OS to become unmanageable after few weeks. Eddie starts by using around 100MB but it increases very fast. Withing few days it's using about 1GB and it keeps going up and up. Last time it was over 3GB causing my system to go on swap and thus to become quite slow. Right now, the only solution I've found is to disconnect and quit Eddie and restart. Any other idea? Also, MONO is horrible on Linux. It literally takes few seconds for the window to update on any single action and many times it freezes. Quote Share this post Link to post
