With a little bit of google magic I was able to find this. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openvpn/+bug/908824 So if you are an admin on your machine you can intiate the VPN from the command line with something along the lines of sudo openvpn air.ovpn but given what the bug report seems to say you might be unable to connect without admin rights in some form or another Edit: also i could be totally wrong about this stuff. however it worked for me Quote Share this post Link to post
