Re: no air VPN connection using ubuntu

Recommended Posts

Came here with same problem to see if I was the only one. With a little bit of google magic I was able to find this. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openvpn/+bug/908824

So if you are an admin on your machine you can intiate the VPN from the command line with something along the lines of

sudo openvpn air.ovpn

but given what the bug report seems to say you might be unable to connect without admin rights in some form or another

Edit: also i could be totally wrong about this stuff. however it worked for me

Tried the terminal command, but this all I get:

Options error: In [CMD-LINE]:1: Error opening configuration file: air.ovpn

Use --help for more information.

Hello!

Please make sure that OpenVPN can find the air.ovpn file. Please check path and permissions.

Kind regards
