How to setup resolv.conf to use AirVPN DNS servers?

Open /etc/resolv.conf with elevated privileges.

sudo texteditorhere /etc/resolv.conf

Insert a # before every line, then enter a new line and type

nameserver 10.4.0.1

Save and try surfing somewhere.

 

Alternatively, use the AirVPN client. It will even restore your previous resolv.conf after disconnection.

Manual changes will generally be lost because whatever DHCP client is in use will overwrite /etc/resolv.conf when a license is obtained or renewed.

Apparently not always. My resolv.conf doesn't change for example.
