What countries do you want to see added in 2017?

Recommended Posts

There is two places where you should be

Iceland and Estonia ranked  1 and 2 at Freedom House

Interesting that "freedom" house is blocking Tor users with Cloudfare...

Panama (good Privacy law)

Seychelles (offshore)

Malaysia

Mexico

Thailand

And never don't add 5,9 and 14-Eyes-countries:

USA, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Denmark, France, Holland, Norway, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Spain.

Look at your servers, 80% are in those Spy-countries. May be enough of this anti-privacy ?

With or without Freedom House  Iceland and Estonia are two great countries for internet freedom ...

I don't know about Estonia, but I agree with you about Iceland. I wish AirVPN could add it, it's one of the few countries where privacy of data is taken seriously.

"Antares ... will almost certainly explode as a supernova,[26] probably within the next few hundred thousand years. For a few months, the Antares supernova could be as bright as the full moon and be visible in daytime."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antares

and so might the other one in Singapore, it is at 71% with 162 users at 2am in Australia, with all the users in E Asia, Asean, India, Pak, Aus, NZ on a Friday night.

One could guess that the big increase in YouTube, Facebook, Kodi etc streaming is upping the bandwidth needed, maybe it means higher costs and subs for an adequate service. I am just torrenting Wild Orchid 2 (Zalman King, can't pirate the dead) etc because I am fascinated by artefacts expressing/reflecting Trumpistan, so not really time critical.

As already commented, I would not vouch for Singapore not to assist national security / major crime agencies from Australia, China, India, USA, etc but not a concern for many users. But adding another 1G server in an existing facility in an existing country should be simpler.

Sent using Arcturus HK which is only at 26%.

Airvpn's servers are protected and if some of these countries want to do something against them I am sure Airvpn will avoid those servers and hire new ones to protect them, in the same or in a different country, as it has happened before.

Anyway, these countries, used by Airvpn, are not listed in the 14 eyes:

Czech Republic

Austria

Latvia

Lithuania

Hong Kong

Romania

Singapore

Switzerland (but they changed the laws recently to increase surveillance).

Anyway, we don't know if there are more than 14 "eyes" now, we don't have an update about it. And many countries couldn't be listed in these "eyes" but I am sure they make some terrible surveillance too (look Switzerland now for example). If you feel better using countries not listed in the 14 eyes then you have many servers to use with Airvpn.

I live on the East Coast of Canada, so my options are somewhat limited ( Canadian and American Servers )

Yes, I am aware that I could connect to the Netherlands and to other countries in Europe ... but it's a bit far to connect.

Having the option to connect to servers in Panama and neighboring countries would be nice

Any sources on increased surveillance in Switzerland?

Any sources on increased surveillance in Switzerland?

It was something well known these past months. You only need to search about it.

But I will post some links:

http://fortune.com/2016/09/25/switzerland-surveillance/

https://protonmail.com/blog/swiss-surveillance-law/

But as I said: it doesn't affect Switzerland or any country where AirVPN has their servers, because they are protected and don't keep logs. But it's not a good news.

Yep! Australia just got an AirVPN server

You're absolutely right Agent Smith!

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily.

Any South American country since there aren't any at the moment, this is the a major continent that shouldn't be omitted. Also the only cis/ru country at the moment is Ukraine with a single server and it's down for me atm. Alcor -> down, sever closed it says.

That's a bit disappointing to be honest.

We actually had one for literally two days less than a month ago.

Host couldn't handle the traffic sadly.

RIP Crux
