Error: cannot add more than 100 routes

So I was finally able to add as-nflx (Netflix at 179 CIDR's) to the routes tab but to my dismay when I tried to connect it would give up with a second

Restarted the client and was just connecting to servers alphabetically and the same timing out

Had a quick look in the log and this stuck out to me

 

 

OpenVPN > OpenVPN ROUTE: cannot add more than 100 routes -- please increase the max-routes option in the client configuration file

 

so now the question is how to change max-routes and does this have any repercussions

looks like the max-routes or max-routes-per-client (in openvpn 2.4) is a configuration option for the servers.  Or maybe I misunderstand.

so I did some digging into how cidr worked and it looks like as-nflx can be compacted by alot

for now this will work till there is a proper soulsion

 

but is that actually working to allow netflix outside the VPN.  I'd tried it in the past but with their usage of random Amazon servers it still didn't work.
