WhiteFang 0 Posted ... I just got a problem and that is i can't connect to the internet without using air (ofc) VPN. Since tonight internet speed was quite slow compare to the other time i decided to turn off VPN to get a more faster download speed. However, shock to my belief after turning off VPN i can't access the internet at all. I try all kind of thing to get the internet working without VPN, i restarted my router and it still does not work. I even uninstall VPN then shut down my lap top and it still does not work. I can only access the internet with the use of VPN and i can't make my internet work without VPN. PS: The wifi icon say it is connected to the internet but i can't access the internet at all while other device can access it just fine. Quote Share this post Link to post
skoaty66 0 Posted ... Same problem here. un-installed VPN because it was slowing down my Windows 10 machine. I connected to the internet but it fails to load and shuts down my connection. Other devices without VPN working fine. Can't find a way to fix it!! Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1442 Posted ... Are you both using Eddie? If so, disable Network Lock. It's getting activated by default when connecting. Also, get into the habit of posting logs when you encounter problems with OpenVPN, and paste them into spoilers for readability's sake. Donk3yman 0 Posted ... I am also having this problem. Can't connect to the internet without connecting through the AirVPN client. I apparently have Eddie but I don't think network lock is on because I currently have the option to turn it on whenever I boot up the client. If it it still somehow activating by default whenever I connect to a server I don't know how to turn that off.
logs
Quote Share this post Link to post
Khariz 109 Posted ... Just go into your network adapter settings and set your DNS server to automatically acquire. Quote Share this post Link to post
Donk3yman 0 Posted ... I did that and restarted my PC and still can't access the internet unless I am connected through an Air server. Also, a few days ago the internet stopped working on my xbox and another laptop, basically the other connections. It kind of still works on the Xbox but certain connectivity features are really slow and act bizarre (not my in game ping though). I'm trying to learn more about VPNs and how everything works but I am definitely a noob. From the limited knowledge I have it seems like network lock is on, but I went to network lock in the preferences and changed mode to none. Also clearly I don't know how to show my logs lol Quote Share this post Link to post
Widon 0 Posted ... I'm experiencing this too. I've been running AirVPN for a couple days and was really happy with it, but everybody else in the household hates it. I have it installed on my desktop (Win7 Pro x64), and other devices can still connect via the wifi router, but nobody using the desktop is able to reach the internet without AirVPN connected. I also can't connect on another user's login unless I switch back to my login and disconnect (systray notification says OpenVPN is already connected). I've rebooted, tried different browsers, and finally uninstalled. Even after uninstalling the only way I could reach the internet was by using Tor Browser. I searched the registry and found no traces of AirVPN, then used CCleaner to look again and still found nothing. Before uninstalling I was unable to reach the internet using any Windows login unless I had AirVPN connected under that login specifically (as opposed to connect to AirVPN under a different Windows login and then switch user). So I reinstalled AirVPN, and guess what? It remembers my login credentials! How does it remember my login credentials if it uninstalled completely? At any rate, here are my logs, and since I can't post more than once a day yet, I've tried to make this post as complete as possible:I 2017.01.24 00:04:35 - Earlier it said something about invalid credentials, even though we were very careful to type them in correctly, but now it says Mojang's servers are down, so maybe the earlier connection issue wasn't AirVPN's fault either. Will check again tomorrow. Thanks for any help.Widon Quote Share this post Link to post
frankynotme 0 Posted ... Go into your firewall and reset setting to default. Not sure why but it mokneys with those settings when you try to drop of VPN and access directly. I can't fix it and it is driving me nuts. Every time I have to reset the firewall to access the Internet again. Quote Share this post Link to post
J0hnny5 6 Posted ... "I just got a problem and that is i can't connect to the internet without using air (ofc) VPN." ...and where is the problem? It's actually a good thing you can't connect without VPN ;-) Quote Share this post Link to post
