ɹoɹɹǝ 26 Posted ... I was thinking about setting up a self hosted VPN for fun to use on my Pi. I was thinking about using the Canada location... I know the France location is considered very safe. It seems they don't care about torrent sites/trackers, regular BitTorrent traffic, etc. but there doesn't seem to be much info on this in their Canada location. Any input is appreciated! ɹoɹɹǝ 26 Posted ... Ovh france care about torrent they Are really fast on deactivating your server You want use private tracker? If yes Ovh should be no problem Are you sure? I heard OVH's France location is very torrent friendly, it's what makes Kimsufi popular because a lot of people use them for seedbox hosting. OVH, from what I've heard, doesn't care too much about copyright infringements... And as this will just be for a project, it's going to be light use. I know it's not the best for anonymity, but I plan on just running a website on the Pi and seeding some legal torrents. Was just wondering on how friendly OVH is with these types of things. OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Well, I generally think the website must complain to local law, means, no drug selling machines or child porn farms. And BitTorrent is always legal, it's all about the content. If OVH was to forbid this it'd be the shittiest hoster in the world. ɹoɹɹǝ 26 Posted ... Understandable. It's a fully legal site, just hosting a simple static HTML page, as well as hosting a couple of ISO's. Thanks for your insight.
