Cannot rdp or ping to host running AirVPN

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Yesterday Windows 10 did an upgrade to the "anniversary edition". After that my AirVPN connection would not work anymore (using Eddie 2.10)

So i removed the Tap driver and after that uninstalled Eddie --> rebooted --> reinstalled the latest Eddie (2.11.3).

Now i can connect to Airvpn, but when connected, the computer seems invisible to other computers on my network. It doesn't respond to pings, and i can't rdp to it!

This is a problem because my sickrage/couchpotato can't send nzb's etc. to this computer anymore.

My route in Eddie is as follows:

192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0  OUTSIDE the VPN tunnel, so i think this should give them access?

Do you have any thoughts?

There is a little bug in 2.11.3 with adding custom CIDR routes.

What you can do for now is allow local networks in the Preferences, actually it will be a

more elegant way of making this machine available on your network, since it covers your

setup regardless of the device/router IP addresses and will work in any local LAN.

How do i do this? I don't see an option like "allow local networks" in the preferences.

(note I don't use the network lock feature at the moment.)

update:

I set network lock to automatic, enabled allow LAN/private & allow ping. Also i deleted the route. Now it seems to work! (Although network lock is not enabled)
