Running a server on my network with windows 10 and AirVPN software running. This is my media server and the main reason I have AirVPN is because my ISP (mobile broadband) uses double NAT which make remote access difficult.

With the VPN connected when browsing the web I get very slow responses. Using the AirVPN speed checker within the Client section shows 20.59 (out-tunnel) and 0.09 (in-tunnel) for download and 8.66 (out-tunnel) and 4.89 (in-tunnel) for upload.

Other devices on the network which do no go through VPN get 20mb/s all day long and normally much more.

The unusual thing however is that I can remotely access my media using Plex with no issues in speed. Also no issues with  remote VNC either.

Hello!

This is a stab in the dark, but perhaps you should try a different TAP driver. Check the troubleshooting forum . You might also want to take a look at some remote port forwarding, if applicable in your situation.

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
