Kepler_452b 77 Posted ... Given that it would almost be malfeasance of duty for state agents to not run vpn honeypots, I thought it might be fun to ask this question: what VPN's do you think might be honeypots (state or otherwise). Conjecture is fine when identified as such; but evidence is sooooo much better Quote Share this post Link to post

I think the idea is that honeypots are identifiable because they run too perfectly well,,,that's just not natural. Air doesn't quite fit into that category, but pretty damn close. It's the best I've ever used. May the Flying Spaghetti Monster bless and preserve them. Quote Share this post Link to post

I don't known of any VPN in the category of running "too well" nor do I think any government run program runs well. I guess I disagree that perfection is a theoretical trait of a honeypot. I guess I disagree that perfection is a theoretical trait of a honeypot.I guess it depends on how you look at it. But there are certain VPN services out there that have homepages that looks almost a bit too polished and use stock images a bit too much. The fact that some of them also hide behind some weird shell company in the Seychelles, Bahamas, Panama etc can make it look a bit weird as well. It is indeed a known fact that CIA has been known to use shell companies in Panama to hide certain activity... Quote Share this post Link to post

NOOO GODWhile I appreciate your sentiments, I imagine many Italians (particularly those with a sardonic sense of humor) would like the idea of being watched over by a Flying Spaghetti Monster. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Spaghetti_Monster Quote Share this post Link to post
