Decrypt packet error.

Hey everyone 

 

I noticed in the logs I keep getting this error 

 

. 2016.08.09 01:12:07 - OpenVPN > Authenticate/Decrypt packet error: bad packet ID (may be a replay): [ #1544386 ] -- see the man page entry for --no-replay and --replay-window for more info or silence this warning with --mute-replay-warnings

 

Seems a lot more disconnects recently too. 

 

windows 10, newest tap driver.

Which version of Eddie are you using? If you're using it. Perhaps you should try the latest experimental version. It would also be best with full logs.

If you see this while using a torrent client then it's "normal". I get a lot of them when my download speed is over 2 MB/s but not while uploading.

Those errors occur very often, especially when torrenting at high speeds. You can try adapting your MTU with the "mssfix" directive in the Eddie client, according to this guide:

If that doesn't help, try using a different server closer to your location. And if that also fails, switching to TCP instead of UDP can be a last resort.

 

Or you just might switch off those annoying messages by using the "mute-replay-warnings" directive.
