Stuck at Checking Route...Again!

Recommended Posts

The problem persists with the Dutch servers I tested and after client restart (I did neither reboot the system nor I delete the .airvpn folder).

The problem always happens after 4 to 5 minutes of successful connection:

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > [server] Inactivity timeout (--ping-restart), restarting

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > SIGUSR1[soft,ping-restart] received, process restarting

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > Restart pause, 2 second(s)

! 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - Disconnecting

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - Management - Send 'signal SIGTERM'

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > MANAGEMENT: CMD 'signal SIGTERM'

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > MANAGEMENT: Client disconnected

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > Assertion failed at misc.c:785

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - OpenVPN > Exiting due to fatal error

. 2016.08.02 15:49:58 - Connection terminated.

Original thread issue has been solved by tech support for me. OSX Mavericks. Version 2.10.3  Eddie client. Original default settings. No tweaks or work-arounds. Works as before. I hope their fix works for all others as well.

Thanks

OSX uses bonjour to discover hosts on the local LAN and the services they offer. Bonjour won't (to my knowledge) transit a VPN (it gets lost at the concentrator). My workaround has just been to use the FQDN to access fileservers, etc when connected via VPN
