Hey guys!

I have a simple question. When I go to ipleak.net, my "Local IP Address" is detected as "10.50.0.193" under WebRTC. Is this supposed to happen? What is this IP address?

Every other IP address detected belongs to the AirVPN server that I'm using, so I know AirVPN is functioning correctly.

My network has been configured according to this post. I am using Windows.

Hello !

Welcome to AirVPN. Nothing is supposed to show when it comes to WebRTC. Either scroll to the bottom of ipleak and read how to fix it for Firefox & Chrome or check out my guide . WebRTC leaks your real IP; which isn't something you want. You should ONLY see AirVPN addresses in both the DNS and IP fields . If you use Network Lock it should stop any leak however.

Swag name by the way lol.

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.

Hey guys!  :)

Hello!

Yes, it's normal, even with Network Lock enabled. That's the VPN IP address (therefore a private address), assigned to your tun/tap interface (the virtual network interface used by OpenVPN).

Please see also here:

It does not affect your privacy or the anonymity layer in any way.

Kind regard

Thank you, Staff.

I had wondered about the significance of IP address structures used by AirVPN. Your link is very helpful and your answer consists of the clarity I was looking for.

Swag name by the way lol.
