Staff 9972 Posted ... Hello! We're very glad to inform you that a new 1 Gbit/s (*) 100 Mbit/s server located in Hong Kong is available: Tania. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access them through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator").The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 2018 UDP and TCP.Just like every other Air server, Tania supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH.As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses.Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue.Kind regards and dataloveAirVPN Team (*) We apologize for the error in this message. This server is connected to a 100 Mbit/s line, not 1 Gbit/s. 5 FromtheWalls, User of AirVPN, RidersoftheStorm and 2 others reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post

flat4 79 Posted ... Just a silly question, if China is so heavily censored how does Hong Kong get away with it. Quote Hide flat4's signature Hide all signatures pFsense it works Share this post Link to post
S.O.A. 83 Posted ... Hong Kong is an autonomous region of China. Basically it can run itself apart from China but, China doesn't want it to and wants it back within Chinese borders. It's a complicated situation and there is plenty of literature on the matter. Google it! Or as Zhang would say DuckDuckGo it! 1 FromtheWalls reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
zhang888 1066 Posted ... Actually no mainland filters apply in SARs. Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan are totally autonomous when it comes to internet, with own ISPs and Autonomous Systems. Many Chinese residents prefer VPNs in those regions for better language compatibility and latency.Singapore is more censored in that sense, there are much more "grey" datacenters in Hong Kong which would allow any content, as long as it doesn't include some serious crime. Staff 9972 Posted ... Will Tania recover from line outage? While Tania passed the tests successfully for days and days, as soon as we put it public it started having a bunch of problems, including high packet loss with most of our other servers. Then, it became unreachable from most of the Internet. We are waiting for datacenters technicians investigation, anyway we are ready to withdraw it if the problem is not solved in the near future. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
