Network manager update?

I can't confirm it now but I read in an article that network manager has been updated with many more features (mac spoofing, etc).

Can you confirm it and if the problem that it had with VPN,s has been solved?

Yes it does enable use of random MAC addresses for Wi-Fi

Do you (or staff) knows if this update ends with the problem using network manager with VPN?

Can you explain what problem you refer to?

Because there are hundreds of Air users, and thousands of OpenVPN users around other services

that don't seem to have any major issues with GTK Network Manager.

I mean what I always read from staff in this forum as a recommendation, that it's not totally safe to use it, and better using Eddie.
