Unable to get beyond "checking route" stage of connection. Tried on both windows 8desktop and XP netbook, same issue with both. Tried various servers along with allowing it to choose its own. Been trying for over an hour.

Have been able to connect without issue up until today. Can get online via wifi with phone so not an ISP issue.

Have about ten months of subscription remaining.

Thanks for the reply.

I never considered the router as I was still able to get online, but turning the router off and on seems to have cured the issue.

If it happens again I will post logs.

Thanks again.

Same problem here. The checking route just get a timeout. Moreover also when the connection is established, sometime it drops simply by not sending or receiving data anymore and I have to connect to a different server.

Those problems are occurring more and more frequently in the last months. If you don't take action honestly I don't think I'll renew for a new year.

First, it is not the same problem. The OP had a local issue that was apparently resolved.

You should open a new thread, and post your OpenVPN logs in it.

Same problem here. When I first started using the service it was VERY fast and connections were almost immediate. At times certain servers will time out and never connect, though the software happily continues trying the same server until I blacklist it. This behavior is consistent no matter whether I try at home or at a public wifi.

While it's not really a related issue, I'm finding connections are increasingly slow. I've tried using both SSH and SSL connections without much difference. I'm currently running Mint 17.2 which is based on Ubuntu 14.04.

Mr. garmiste, you are constantly hijacking the threads of others. Do not make me link your replies to proof it, just see for yourself. I'm writing this one last time - open up your own topics for your own issues. Thank you very much and no offense.
