Can't access XDA-Developers forums

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Since Sunday evening, I cannot access XDA Developers forums while connected to AirVPN servers. I never had any issue with this website before, it has always worked fine with AirVPN.

I tried like 4 or 5 different servers but it does not make any difference. It occurs both on Firefox 45.0.1 and Internet Explorer 11.

I'm also facing the same problem on my Android phone when connected to an AirVPN server via OpenVPN application. I keep trying with Tapatalk application and with Firefox for Android but it persists. No issue whatsoever as soon as I disable AirVPN connection (both on my PC and my Android phone).

Interestingly, the main portal still works for me: http://www.xda-developers.com/

Any feedback / help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

What I can say for sure is that XDA's performance decreased over time. It all began with their website design change and is now even sensible when browsing it with Tapatalk. I can also say for sure that we've got many other users viewing XDA with AirVPN on, so it might be temporary blocks because DoS-like request surges are detected.

Thank you for your answer. I agree with you, from a technical standpoint, browsing XDA forums is getting more and more annoying with time. The desktop version at least. I never had any issue with Tapatalk (until yesterday of course) as far as I'm concerned.

Well, for now I'll keep trying different AirVPN servers, perhaps I'll find one which isn't blocked by XDA.

Me, neither, but its response times are lengthening. It becomes less responsive.

Ah, right. Thanks, zhang888, for the reminder.

Seems like XDA is routed through SE2 and this rerouting server is being locked out. You could submit a support ticket and ask to reverse the rerouting.

I've just tried again while connected to Alchiba server (Netherlands), it worked! Thank you @zhang888 for the link, I didn't think about checking this section of Air website.

@giganerd: will do.
