Using non-AirVPS DNS Causes Constant Connect/Disconnect

I'm trying to use my preferred DNS server (from OpenDNS) rather than the recommended AirVPN server.  I've tried listing the IP addresses under Preferences -> Advanced -> DNS, with DNS Switch mode Disabled or Automatic and with "Check if the tunnel uses AirVPN DNS" selected or deselected.  In every case, a connection is established, then immediately disconnected, after which the sequence repeats.  How can I successfully use a non-AirVPN DNS server?

Forgive me if I'm a little new to this.  I understand how to use spoilers, and I thought I described my issue pretty clearly.  Which logs would be helpful, and how do I generate them?

I've seen that a few times. Have a look at Cannot log on to any servers.

Thanks for the insightful reference.  After re-configuring AirVPN to reproduce the issue - you guessed it - I was successfully connected, so I'll just have to wait and see if it recurs.  While I'm glad the problem has disappeared, I'm exasperated that it could be lurking in the background.
