Can VPN be compromised?

Recommended Posts

I'm in school network and using airvpn client and the only protocol that works is SSH. The admin told me that they can break up encrypted traffic by the firewall and encrypt it before it goes back to my computer. Is that true?

And why does only SSH works and not tcp or udp even with port 80 ?

What do the logs say?

Bypassing OpenVPN's replay protection? I don't know, sounds like a bluff to prevent torrenting or I don't know what.

He meant corporate firewalls with SSL termination capabilities.

This requiers a self signed local root CA installed on all machines, but this does not affect OpenVPN.

The capability of terminating SSL connections is mainly used for URL filtering and DLP over text protocols,

it is completely useless with tunnelling protocols, and they cannot see your traffic.
