Help with setting up openvpn + Stunnel on OpenWRT

Hello everyone,

 

I have had a look on the forums and there are guides on how to set this up, but with Linux, Android or Windows and there is no guide for openwrt. I have looked at the guide on how to setup openvpn on openwrt which is very easy to follow but I dont know what to do next.

Note I am using virtualbox with chaos calmer 15.05 with another VM (CentOS) so I can putty in to openwrt or use the gui (Luci). I decided to try this on a virtual machine before buying a router etc.

I think for openwrt you must install entware.  Then you'll be able to install many common linux packages at the command line.  this is the same as I have to do for merlin asus.

Thanks so once this is installed can I use AirVPN stunnel guide for Linux? I will have a read up on entware.

I don't know.  I never read the guide.

If you run it on x86 in any case, why not trying pfSense then?

You will have to install many untested software if you go with OpenWRT.

 

Don't get me wrong, it's a great project for almost any architecture, but

for x86 pfSense has no competitors for a routing+firewall solution.

Thanks I will have a look in to it. I have searched far and wide for stunnel setup and cant find anything that makes sense to me being a noob. There is a guide as well for pfsense on this forum so I will have a look at that.
