Don't try this, your chances of bricking the router and voiding your warranty are higher than the possibilityyou will ever achieve a working setup. There is a very limited support of custom firmwares for those DSL modems. chucknorris 1 Posted ... So it'll only work on routers with no integrated modem? Quote Share this post Link to post
Khariz 109 Posted ... It has nothing to do with integrated modems. You need a router than can be flashed with DD-WRT, Merlin, or Tomato. You can't do that on that router. Quote Share this post Link to post

So I can flash dd wrt or tomato on it.Soery if I was unclear. Quote Share this post Link to post
Guest Chaf Posted ... You can of course buy a Router compatible with the above mentioned firmwares. You however need to be aware that the bandwith will be limited by the computational power of the router (which is low).Google around to see which firmware you would like best and narrow down to which router you'd go for according to you price range. Then Google again to see the feedback from other people and the expected speeds you can get out of it. As far as my research went, there were no affordable routers that could come close to the computational power of a computer with the Openvpn software installed (= DOWN/UP speed). 1 chucknorris reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
chucknorris 1 Posted ... Do you have any router suggestestions? I can only find routers. But no routers with integrated modem. On which OpenVPN would work?My max download speed is currently about 1,8 MB/s Quote Share this post Link to post
zhang888 1066 Posted ... Maybe a Fritzbox.@giganerd is an expert on those, I remember they had ADSL in many models. Quote Hide zhang888's signature Hide all signatures Occasional moderator, sometimes BOFH. Opinions are my own, except when my wife disagrees. Share this post Link to post
