Network locks without network lock

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've been using AirVPN for a few weeks and I have been very happy. Now, however, a curious problem have occured whereby I can no longer connect to the internet without connecting to a AirVPN server. I.e. it seems as if the network lock has been activated without me activating it. I believe this "bug" has appeared due to a number of unexpected crashes/BSODs where AirVPN was shut down without its proper shut down protocol. I have tried resetting my windows firewall according to the advice at https://airvpn.org/topic/13435-network-lock-issue/ (issue seems similar), but it has not helped.

Best,

It's DNS. The client sometimes fails to revert your adapter's default DNS servers after releasing the network lock and disconnecting (especially during crashes). Go into your adapter settings and manually add DNS servers or set to automatic and your internet connection will magically work again.
