Help configuring dd-wrt router using openvpn

I am having trouble configuring my router to use openvpn via airvpn. i am using a linksys router and i was able to replace the firmware, but i need help configuring it. i tried the walkthrough here but i still need some direction. info from router:

you haven't described how far you've got but one observation is that's a very old firmware.  You could get current ones from

ftp://ftp.dd-wrt.com/betas/2015/    (or even 2016!)
