Hello!

We have checked that you account is authorized to access all the VPN servers (it is on premium status).

Make sure that on the Air client login screen you select "Member Access".

If the remote server still give you the error 403, please try a connection directly with OpenVPN. Please follow the instructions in the "Enter"->"Windows" page (direct link https://airvpn.org/windows).

After that, try a connection with the OpenVPN GUI and please send us the connection logs (they are in C:\Program Files(x86)\OpenVPN\log).

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Guys

Tried connecting without the client, and not sure whats happening really.

OpenVPN says "connected to Air", however neither any of your web pages (the sign at the bottom says not connected) or my account says that I have been connected at all, and whoami returns my real address not air's

There are no log files at all in OpenVPN despite disconnecting and reconnecting numerous times.

However, when I right click and select 'show status' I can copy this info which may help? (dont like the numerous 'access is denied' messages

Thanks

Guys, sorted the openVPN issue.

I had to go into control panel -> services and set it to start automatically, then after a reboot the service is working, whoamI is returning a 178.... address which isnt me!

Cant get the client working though. I don't care so long as I am anonymous, but if you want me to perform any extra tests for you for debugging purposes, just let me know.

Thanks

Hello!

The first log suggested that OpenVPN had no privileges to modify the routing table. Since the table could not be modified, your traffic was routed into the encrypted tunnel.

On Win7 and a standard installation, OpenVPN logs can be found in C:\Program Files(x86)\OpenVPN\log

Usually the issue can be solved by launching OpenVPN (or the OpenVPN GUI) with administrator privileges (right-click and then select "Run as administrator").

Anyway, you solved that issue. About the Air client, can you describe step by step what happens? Also, the logs can be accessed in the Air client by right-clicking on its dock icon and selecting "Logs". A window will pop-up. Click on "Copy to clibpboard" and then please paste and send to us, they may be helpful for troublshooting.

We're looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards

Hi guys

Have upgraded but again struggling to get a secure connection because of 'auth_failed'?? heres the transcript from the log file.

Please Help.

Hello!

It seems there are two problems. First, the TAP-Win32 adapter does not come up properly. This may due to improper installation, deactivation of the adapter or OpenVPN running without sufficient privileges. See here for details and how to fix:

http://support.real-time.com/open-source/openvpn/index.html

Second, there might be high latency during the handshake, which causes the Replay Window Backtrack.

http://openvpn.net/archive/openvpn-users/2004-09/msg00068.html

The AUTH_FAILED may be caused by this high latency. Try also to use a TCP port instead of UDP and to switch servers.

Kind regards

Hello!

Please check TAP-Win32 adapter, not virtual port. See also here, section "Troubleshooting":

http://support.real-time.com/open-source/openvpn/index.html

OpenVPN recommended version for Windows is 2.2.2. Version 2.0 for Windows is very old and had some rare but tedious bugs also related to the TUN/TAP adapter. A bug related to the adapter (in Windows systems only) was re-introduced in the 2.2.1 version, fixed with 2.2.2.

ok, connected again, but the AirVPN client still refuses to play!!!

It ALWAYS comes up with Error 403

Its only by uninstalling, rebooting, reinstalling OpenVPN 2.2.2 as administrator, and then editing the services that I can get a connection.

Thanks

Hello!

Therefore it looks like something which is probably running with administrator privileges modifies your configuration. You should check Windows setup and applications like antivirus, firewall, "security" monitors, malware etc.

Kind regards
